Eduard 1:72 P2V-7 Neptune are die-cut painting masks for cleanly masking the glazed cockpit and nose and the other clear parts of a model of the maritime patrol aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely die-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a modeling accessory: self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape that, during painting, cover the extensive glazing of the cockpit and nose and any other areas that are to stay clear. They ensure sharp, straight glazing frames without laborious masking by hand.
The Lockheed P2V Neptune was an American land-based maritime patrol and anti-submarine aircraft. It was powered by two radial engines, and the later versions added auxiliary jet pods for a short takeoff run. The P2V-7 version was among the most widespread and carried extensive search equipment for long flights over the sea.
The masks are die-cut to the shape of a particular kit in this scale. Lift a part off the sheet, lay it on the glazing and press the edges down with a pointed wooden stick along the engraved lines. Spray the color of the frames and peel the mask off. Kabuki tape holds reliably and leaves no adhesive behind.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
