A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer ROP o.s. It is not an airplane model but an accessory of markings for finishing a plastic kit of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 fighter, nicknamed the Rata, in the forms operated in foreign countries and in foreign service.
The Polikarpov I-16 was among the most widespread Soviet fighters of the 1930s. Besides the Soviet Air Force, a number of other states operated it, both through export deliveries and as captured machines. The set is devoted to exactly these foreign users and offers markings treated factually and neutrally.
The decals separate in lukewarm water and are transferred onto the model; they settle best on smooth gloss varnish, and a decal softener and a final coat to match the surface of the subject are recommended.
The decals are an accessory for a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
