A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for the Polikarpov I-16 fighter, on the theme of the Soviet fighter pilots the press of the day called Stalin's Falcons.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:72 scale to complete a model of the Soviet Polikarpov I-16 fighter. The subject points to the Soviet fighter pilots for whom period propaganda coined the term Stalin's Falcons, and to the aircraft they went to war with.
The I-16 was an uncommonly modern machine for its day: a cantilever low-wing monoplane with retractable landing gear, which in the middle of the 1930s was still far from the rule. Its fuselage was wooden, short and barrel-shaped in form, with a radial engine at the front. The stocky silhouette earned it the nickname Rata, which its opponents in Spain gave it and which then stayed with it. The very short fuselage also meant sensitive controls, so the I-16 counted as a machine that was agile and difficult at the same time.
This is a decal sheet on its own, that is an accessory for a kit. The aircraft model, the paints, the varnishes and the decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The manufacturer's instructions give the exact placing of each subject.
