Reeds in 1:72 scale is a scenic accessory from the Vertigo miniatures brand, a set of precisely cut parts for creating waterside vegetation in a diorama. It is not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plant parts for dioramas and vignettes in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an airplane or of a vehicle but an accessory for completing wet terrain: the bank of a pond, a waterlogged ditch, a wetland by a field road or the muddy edge of an area. The parts are precisely cut and supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The common reed is a tall perennial grass with narrow long leaves and a panicle at the top of the stem, growing in continuous stands on shallow banks. In a scene it fills an important role: the vertical lines of the growth break up the horizontal surface of water, cover the unsightly transition between water and terrain and tell the viewer at once that the setting is a wet one.
Take the parts out of the sheet and clean the burrs up with a new blade; in 1:72 scale the stems are very fine, so work with tweezers and without pressure. Open the tufts out slightly and bend them before gluing, so that the growth does not look like a comb. Glue with gel cyanoacrylate glue, in small portions. Paint over a thin acrylic primer applied with an airbrush; a transition from a darker green at the foot to lighter and yellowish at the top looks the most natural, and dry stems can be suggested with beige. If you are creating a water surface from resin, glue and paint the growth before pouring and cover the transition with mud or pigment.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
