Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger of Henschel production with a two-ton lifting crane in 1:72 scale from Dragon is an injection-molded plastic kit of the heaviest German tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy tank destroyer Jagdtiger in the Henschel production form, complemented by a two-ton lifting crane, in 1:72 scale from the Dragon brand. The model is built from plastic parts and includes photo-etched parts and one-piece flexible (vinyl) tracks. The added crane makes a striking diorama scene of maintenance or a parts change possible.
The Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger was the heaviest armored vehicle to see production service in the Second World War. On the chassis of the Tiger II tank it carried an exceptionally powerful 12.8 cm anti-tank gun in a fixed casemate. Only a small number of vehicles were built, mostly of Henschel production with running gear on interleaved road wheels. Despite its crushing firepower it was held back by its weight, its unreliability and the lack of fuel.
Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before you complete the hull. We recommend a base coat, an airbrush and final washes and pigments for the weathering; the large areas of the casemate are rewarding for late-war camouflage, washes and dust effects. The crane invites a maintenance diorama scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
