A set of painting masks for a model of the SIAI-Marchetti SF-260M, AM and W in 1:72 scale. An accessory for the build; the model is not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item is a set of painting masks for a model of the Italian SIAI-Marchetti aircraft in the M, AM and W versions, scale 1:72. It is not a kit. The masks are applied before spraying to the areas that are to stay free of paint or take a different shade, and they are removed as soon as the paint has flashed off. Which areas the set covers and which kit it is cut for is given in the enclosed instructions.
In 1:72 scale the glazing frames are so narrow that masking tape is hard to cut to fit, and every uneven edge shows under the gloss of the clear part. A pre-cut mask shortens this work and the edge comes out the same on both sides of the canopy.
For builders of small scales who want clean canopy frames without lengthy cutting of tape. The real subject is a light aircraft widely used as a military trainer; the letters M, AM and W in the name distinguish its versions.
Masks are supplied. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
