A plastic kit model of the Russian heavy fighter Sukhoi Su-27SM with the NATO reporting name Flanker-B in 1:72 scale from Platz. It is a richly detailed kit with a large number of parts; the injection tooling comes from the proven Russian Zvezda molds. The finished model is fairly large for 1:72 scale and offers a faithfully captured airframe shape.
The Su-27 is one of the most capable air superiority fighters of its generation - a twin-engined heavy machine with a long range, excellent agility and heavy air-to-air armament. The Su-27SM version is an upgrade with improved avionics and extended combat capabilities. Its smooth aerodynamic shapes and the pair of widely spaced engines are characteristic of it.
Work with thin cement for plastic and an airbrush; dry-fit the large fuselage before gluing. A multi-tone gray-blue camouflage is typical, with which panel lines brought out by a fine wash come into their own. Prepare masks for the canopy glazing, seal the decals with a varnish and assemble the underwing armament according to the scheme you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
