The most extensive LP Models set for the two-seat Su-27UB in 1:72 scale joins three elements of ground service: a boarding ladder to the tandem cabin in the early version, chocks under the wheels of the landing gear and a service ladder used by ground personnel when working on the fuselage and the engine section. It is not a kit of the aircraft; a model is not part of the package. The difference against the late version of the ladder is not described, so compare the shape with the documentation on the machine you are building.
The Su-27UB is the two-seat combat trainer version of the Su-27 with a tandem cabin and an enlarged vertical tail surface. On a trainer machine there is more movement on the apron than on a combat one: changes of crew, checks and maintenance. The set makes it possible to show this activity. With three elements at once this is no longer just an ornament for a model, but the basis of a scene which only has to be completed with figures of technicians and the surface of an airfield concrete slab.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water because of the remnants of the mold release agent; without that the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, do not break them off, and protect your airways when sanding. They are glued with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate. The thin rungs of both ladders are fragile; handle them with tweezers and apply the paint in thin layers after the primer. It helps a scene visually when the ground equipment does not look new: chipped paint, dirty metal, a dusty patina at the contact with the ground and a dark wash into the corners of the frames.
This is an accessory, not a model of the aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
