The most extensive variant of the resin set for a model of the Su-35 in 1:72 scale. The name gives three groups of parts: a boarding ladder to the cabin, wheel chocks and a service ladder for the access of technicians. The item belongs among the accessories for aircraft models; the aircraft itself is not part of the contents of the package.
While the boarding ladder deals with the way of the pilot into the cabin, the service ladder is a taller and more stable structure by which the service crew reaches the upper areas of the fuselage and the spaces that are opened during ordinary maintenance. The chocks under the wheels fill in the picture of a machine parked on a surface. The Su-35 is a twin-engined multirole fighter aircraft following from the design of the Su-27; its size is hard to read precisely on a model without the surrounding equipment, so the ladders also work as a guide to scale for a viewer.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and do the sanding wet and with your airways protected. Do not break the thin rungs of the ladders off — resin is hard but brittle. They are glued with super glue or epoxy; cement for plastic will not help. Paint over a filler primer, with an airbrush; then go over the edges and the rungs with a dry brush, put a dark wash into the structure and dust the chocks lightly with pigment. Put the assembly together dry before sticking it to the model, so that the angles at which it rests fit.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
