A mask set in 1:72 scale for a model of the Soviet SU-85 self-propelled gun. It is applied before the paint is sprayed.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SU-85 was a Soviet self-propelled gun of the Second World War, built on the chassis of the T-34 medium tank. The 85 mm gun was mounted in a low armored superstructure without a rotating turret, which gave the vehicle a low silhouette and surfaces with pronounced sloping walls. It is exactly on those that you can tell whether the camouflage and the markings have a clean edge.
Masking elements in 1:72 scale for a model of the SU-85. The shapes are pre-cut and correspond to the areas that are to stay free of paint after spraying or to receive a different shade. The set is cut for a particular kit, which is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so check that it matches your model before buying.
The masks are applied before spraying, to a dry, cured and degreased surface. Lift the elements by the edge with tweezers and press them down with a blunt tool around the whole perimeter, on armor plates with particular care along the welds and edges, where paint creeps under most easily. Spray in thin coats and perpendicular to the surface. Remove the mask shortly after the paint has dried, while the layer is still flexible, and pull it back over itself at an angle. Wipe off any adhesive residue with a cotton bud moistened with water.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
