The signs give a diorama an immediately recognizable context of place. They come into their own in roadside scenes, at checkpoints and in urban buildings, where they complete the street atmosphere and the scale of the whole. Cut the signs out and glue them onto a thin wire or a skewer imitating a post, then anchor the bottom into the base of the diorama. Tone the cut edges, so that they do not glare.
