An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet 70-K automatic anti-aircraft gun of 37 mm caliber in 1:72 scale from UM (UM Military Technics). The model is made up of a smaller number of plastic parts complemented by a generous photo-etched fret, which is needed to finish it; it is therefore a small but detailed kit.
The 70-K was the naval version of the Soviet automatic anti-aircraft gun of 37 mm caliber, derived from the land-based 61-K gun. The weapon was used on the decks of warships and smaller vessels to defend against low-flying aircraft. It entered service before the German attack on the Soviet Union and was produced in large numbers.
Separate the small plastic and photo-etched parts carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; the photo-etched fret is the key to a faithful look. An airbrush and a fine brush for the detail suit the naval gray. The model works well as an accessory on the deck of a ship model or as a diorama vignette on its own.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
