The real subject and the extent of the set

The F-4G is the two-seat variant of the Phantom II derived from the F-4E version and reworked for finding and suppressing ground radars. The cockpit is tandem and the canopy is divided into several separate parts, so there are many frames to mask and cutting them by hand takes considerable time. The double-sided form makes sense on a model with the canopy open: the frames then look the same in color inside and out, and no clear plastic shows through anywhere in the glazing. This version therefore tends to be more extensive than the basic set, though the exact contents of the package are not stated here.

How to use the masks

Degrease the glazing and let it dry. Place the masks on the inner face first and spray the shade of the cockpit interior, then stick on the outer masks and lay on the outer color. Always press the mask down all the way around the frame, and on curved areas work in stages so that no creases form. Lay the paint on in thin coats, otherwise it will run under the edge. Once dry, take the mask off with tweezers at a shallow angle along the surface.
