Spray masks in 1:72 scale for a model of the Douglas A-4E/F Skyhawk. They let crisply bounded areas be sprayed without bleed and without laborious brushwork.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a light carrier-based attack aircraft with a delta wing, designed as the smallest and simplest machine able to carry attack armament from the deck of an aircraft carrier. The A-4E and A-4F versions were among the most widespread and differed mainly in equipment and in the shape of the dorsal part of the fuselage. Skyhawks served with the US Navy and the Marine Corps, and in other countries they flew long after series production ended.
These are spray masks in 1:72 scale. You stick them onto the model, spray over them and, once they are off, a crisply bounded area is left with no bleed and no ragged edges of the kind brushwork achieves only with difficulty. They also suit places where a decal on a curved surface would silver or would settle badly. The extent of the set and the recommended order of steps are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The procedure that has proved itself looks like this:
The set suits modelers who spray with an airbrush and want crisp transitions between colors. Masks tend to be cut to the shape of a particular model, so before using them on another kit offer them up and compare them with the parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
