A kit of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois utility helicopter put together from plastic bricks. The parts fit into one another mechanically, so the model needs no glue, no putty and no paints. The coloring and the markings come about through the choice of parts and the printing on them, not through spraying. The build runs step by step according to the enclosed instructions and the model can be taken apart and put together again at any time. The number of parts and the dimensions of the finished model are stated on the box.
The Bell UH-1 is an American utility helicopter with turboshaft power and a two-blade main rotor. It earned the nickname Huey from its original designation, and in the end the nickname displaced the official name Iroquois entirely. The type became one of the most widespread helicopters of all: it carried people and cargo, served for medical evacuation, for training and for civil tasks including firefighting and rescue work. What is characteristic of it is the glazed front of the cabin, the large sliding doors of the cargo compartment and the skids under the fuselage in place of wheels.
Follow the instructions exactly; on brick kits the order of the steps matters more than on glued models. Press the parts home over their whole face, not by a corner, so that no play is left at the joint. Leave the rotor blades and other thin pieces until the end, as they slip out easily in handling. If the model is going to be carried about or displayed within reach of children, check the joints of the fuselage, which carry the greatest load. Do not paint or glue the model; either would make taking it apart impossible and would damage the surface of the parts.
The model is put together from plastic bricks. It is not glued, sanded or painted. Glue, paints and tools are not needed.
