Painting masks for the Lockheed C-130H Hercules in 1:72 scale from the maker Artillery models. An accessory for painting the extensive cockpit glazing of a transport aircraft, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks for a model of the transport aircraft Lockheed C-130H Hercules in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor a spare part: the masks are stuck onto the surface, the surface is sprayed and the mask is removed once dry. On the Hercules this is an exceptionally useful accessory, because the cockpit has intricate glazing with a great many windows and frames whose masking by hand is time-consuming and easy to get wrong.
Pre-cut masks hold an exact shape, so the frames come out even across the whole cockpit. They save hours of tape cutting and above all reduce the risk that paint gets under an edge and ruins the transparency of a part that is very hard to put right afterwards.
Wash and degrease the glazing first, transfer the masks with tweezers and press them along their edges. Spray thin coats perpendicular to the surface; a heavy application runs under the edge. It is worth spraying the interior shade first and the exterior color only then, so that the frames do not show through from inside. Remove the mask soon after it dries by lifting a corner and pulling at a shallow angle to the surface. Finally polish the glazing and, if you wish, go over it with a gloss coat.
This is an accessory for painting, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Masks for the Hercules are made by other manufacturers as well; this set is from Artillery models.
