A decal sheet in 1:48 scale devoted to the SBD Dauntless and Banshee machines in combat, the fourth part of the line.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was a carrier-based dive bomber of the US Navy and became famous above all in the fighting in the Pacific. It was a single-engine low-wing monoplane with a crew of two men, and what pilots valued most about it was its stability in a dive. The Banshee designation was carried by the land-based army variant of the same aircraft, that is the Douglas A-24. Machines of both variants carried rich tactical markings, which the sheet captures in the fourth part of the line.
This is a decal sheet for 1:48 scale. The decals make it possible to build a model of a particular machine with period markings instead of the scheme in the box. Which aircraft the sheet covers and how the decals are laid out are given in the enclosed instructions, which you should follow when seating them.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version: a soaked self-adhesive film is irreversibly ruined, whereas a waterslide decal can be soaked later as well. With a waterslide decal the following works well:
The sheet will be appreciated by modelers who are building a particular machine and want its markings to be faithful. The model, paints and varnish are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
