An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Aoshima. The subject is the Toyota Hiace Wagon of the H100 generation with the factory code KZH100 as modified by the Japanese specialist AZ-Max, as it was in 1999. It is precisely the name of the tuner that sets this release apart from the other Hiace models.
The Hiace of the H100 generation was built from the late 1980s and in the Wagon version it served as a roomy passenger vehicle with several rows of seats. The KZH100 code points to the variant with a turbocharged diesel engine. A scene of its own grew up in Japan around these vehicles: firms such as AZ-Max supplied complete appearance kits, lowered suspensions and larger-diameter wheels for them, so that a working vehicle turned into an executive machine.
With a modified vehicle it is the stance that decides. Before gluing, stand the model dry on its wheels and check from the side how the gap between the tire and the fender looks and whether it is the same front and rear. Smaller corrections on a car model are usually made by packing out or, on the contrary, by sanding the axle mating surface, or by adjusting the hole for the wheel pin; work in tenths of a millimeter and between steps always check the model again from the side and from the rear. Fit the wheels only once the finish is done, so that the body does not rest on the rubber. A set of wheels from another kit can only be used if the pin diameter and the tire width match, otherwise the stance goes astray.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
