Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Aoshima in 1:24 scale. The subject is the Nissan Skyline GT-R of the BNR34 series in police guise of 1999. The model is supplied as a set of parts to be assembled and painted; the exact contents of the package are not stated here.
The Skyline GT-R of the R34 generation was built from 1999 and is among the best-known Japanese sports cars of all. It is powered by a turbocharged RB26DETT inline six-cylinder with all-wheel drive, thanks to which the car made its mark on circuits as well as on the tuning scene. Police vehicles in Japan are used both for ordinary patrol duty and for rapid responses on expressways, and powerful models found their way into their fleets mostly as donations from manufacturers or private donors.
The two-tone police scheme is the main challenge of the whole build. First spray the lighter shade over filler primer, let it cure properly and only then mask the edge of the second color. Press good masking tape down along the whole length of the edge so that paint cannot creep under it. Check the transitions against the light before you unmask. After the decals, fix the whole body with clear coat, which evens the gloss out and hides the edges of the decals. Spray thinly and from close up, because orange peel appears precisely when spraying from a great distance and with too thin an application.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
