Decorative sheets with a dense relief from the brand Green Stuff World. The design is industrial, the maker describes it as piping and light fittings, so a sheet will give a scene the character of a factory, a machine room or technical premises. This is neither a kit nor a finished model but a decorative base from which you choose pieces and use them where you need to fill an empty area.

How it is used

• a sheet can be divided into smaller pieces and glued into the bases of individual figures
• whole, it will serve as a continuous surface for a larger scene or a game base
• it suits masking an empty area of a base where bare plastic would come across as distracting
• the edges can be made good with a modeling compound, so that the transition to the surrounding terrain is not seen

Painting and integration into a scene

The relief needs a primer, otherwise the detail will be lost in the subsequent layers. It stands out best with a dark base, a pass with a dry brush and a final flowing shade into the recesses. The metal surfaces of the piping will bear chemical aging with rust and greasy stains as well, so that the scene does not come across as new. Glue a sheet onto a base over its whole area, with a sufficient layer of glue, so that no air pocket is left under it.
