LACI 1:144 MD-80 - landing configuration is a resin set that replaces the corresponding parts of the wing of a plastic kit and makes it possible to build a model as the aircraft looks on approach. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit of an airplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory set in 1:144 scale from LACI. It is aimed at the landing configuration of the McDonnell Douglas MD-80, that is at the wing with the high-lift devices extended. It is not a kit of an airplane - the parts replace the corresponding sections of a plastic model you already have under way. Compared with plain flap sets this is a more extensive conversion, so count on a longer job and on cutting into the wing.
The MD-80 is the stretched successor to the DC-9 family, with the engines at the rear of the fuselage, a T-tail and a slender long fuselage. It is precisely that slender shape which makes a model in 1:144 scale a rewarding display piece, and at the same time it means every detail of the wing is clearly visible from above. A model with the devices extended holds attention far better than an aircraft in the smooth cruise configuration that most kits offer.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
