EU Waste Containers

EU Waste Containers, European-type waste containers

A decorative accessory from the Green Stuff World brand for urban scenes. The real subject is the large-capacity municipal waste containers common in European towns, that is, the type that stands by the walls of tenement blocks and in back alleys. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a building kit but a stand-alone piece of equipment with which an already built scene is completed.

Where it fits

• the back ends of houses, yards and passageways in an urban diorama
• filling an empty corner of a gaming table where a cue to scale is missing
• cover for a figure in a game where the placement of obstacles matters
• an accessory to a scene with a waste collection or an abandoned street

Painting and placing it in a scene

A waste container only looks convincing once it stops looking new. After the base coat choose a base shade for the plastic, run a dry brush over the edges and let a dark shade flow into the grooves. Stains, wear around the lid and a build-up of dirt at ground level do the rest. If you plan to have the container open, count on the inside being visible and on needing to fill it with something.

Who it is for

For builders of urban dioramas and for wargaming players who build modern townscapes. The same brand also offers an American-type container, so you can choose according to whether the scene looks European or transatlantic.

The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
