Kits-World 1:35 Wehrmacht Personal Equipment 1938-1940: Enlisted Men is a set of full-color decals for the personal equipment of figures in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the maker Kits-World is printed on decal paper and serves for finishing the personal equipment of figures in 1:35 scale in color. It is neither a set of figures nor a cast accessory; these are prints that are transferred onto parts of the equipment that have already been built and painted. The designation in the name defines the period 1938 to 1940 and the enlisted men.
Unlike decals for equipment, these designs are not applied to large flat surfaces but to small parts with a pronounced three-dimensional relief: straps, pouches, cases, haversacks. It is precisely the relief that decides the result. Choose in advance which parts will get a print and which will stay merely painted; printed equipment beside painted equipment looks good only when the shades match and the sheen is unified. Lay the design on a part so that its edge follows the edge of a strap or a flap, rather than overflowing across it. With figures it pays off to work one piece at a time and to let each part dry thoroughly before you set to the next.
Varnish the base with a gloss varnish; on matte paint air is held under the print and silvering arises, which is even more conspicuous on a small area. Soak the decal in warm water only until it releases, transfer it into place with a brush and draw the water off. The softener is essential here: only it will force the print to follow the recesses and the edges of the relief. Apply it drop by drop and let it work; do not press on the decal with a brush while it is softened. Once it is dry, go over the whole figure with a matte varnish and unify the whole with a faint wash if you wish.
An accessory for a model. Figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
