The Sea Harrier served the Royal Navy as a carrier-borne combat aircraft with a short takeoff and a vertical landing, which did without a long runway. The letters FRS in the version designation name the three tasks it was intended for: fighter, reconnaissance and strike. The instrument panel mixes circular gauges with the areas of the screens, so there is something to look at in the cockpit even with the canopy closed.

Level, wash and degrease the base in advance so that the elements seat over their whole area. Before applying them, check the manufacturer's instructions to see whether the elements are self-adhesive; the method of application differs between the individual lines and is given in the instructions with this set. Separate the parts with a sharp blade a little away from the edge, lay them in place with tweezers and press them home with a soft stick. With the lit displays it is worth using a magnifier, so that the imagery sits square to the frame of the panel.

The dimensions of the instrument panel differ between individual kit releases, so check its suitability against the manufacturer's instructions and dry-fit the elements before gluing.
