Responsibility details are not available.
A large-format printed sheet showing the surface of the British Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, also carried under the name HMS Heron, in the period from the 1990s onwards. It is neither a kit nor a decal but a finished base for a built model. The printed area measures 675 x 675 mm and corresponds to 1:48 scale.
The motif is tied to a particular naval aviation station and to a modern period, so it suits models of machines that operated from Yeovilton at that time. Compared with bases of large air stations, this is the setting of a naval air station, which in a collection is a welcome change among the otherwise prevailing land airfields.
The 675 x 675 mm area corresponds in 1:48 to roughly thirty-two meters of real surface, so beside the model there is room for a towing vehicle, steps or a group of figures. With a helicopter, which belongs among the characteristic hardware of a naval station, bear in mind that spinning rotor blades take up a far larger circle in plan than the fuselage does. Measure your model including the rotor, therefore, not just by the length of the fuselage.
This is a printed base for a model. The model, figures and vehicles are not included.
