An accessory set for aircraft models in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but external stores on their own: according to the name it contains two pieces of the R-77 guided missile, in the NATO reporting name AA-12 Adder. The set is intended to be swapped for the parts from the box on models that carry this missile.
The R-77 missile is recognized at first glance by its grid fins, that is by a lattice construction instead of classic solid fins. That is precisely the hardest discipline for injected plastic: so that a mold fills such a fine lattice at all, it is made either thick or merely suggested by engraving, or else supplied as a flat part without depth. In 1:32 scale the result looks coarse and it is the most conspicuous weakness of the stores. A separately made resin part does not suffer from this limitation: the shape of the lattice, the leading edges and the transitions of the body of the missile can be rendered markedly more finely than in the base kit. In a large scale, where the stores are practically at the viewer's eye level, that is a visible difference for very little work.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a detergent, so that the remains of the release agent disappear, otherwise the paint holds badly. Separate them from the carrying block with a fine saw or a cutter with a new blade, never by breaking, as the grid surfaces are fragile. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, ideally the gel kind, which gives time for setting them in place. Do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. The painting: a light base, then a covering shade for the body, lighten the lattice with a fine dark wash so that the structure stands out, and close the whole thing with a semi-gloss varnish.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
