A separate figure cast in modeling resin in 1:35. It is not a vehicle kit but a figure for filling out a finished model or a diorama. Take the marking in the name as a statement about the cut of the uniform and about the intended setting of the scene, that is as a guide for choosing the colors and the accessories. The sequence number No. 1 tells this pose apart from the other number of the same subject in the maker's line.
Resin renders fine detail, such as lapels, hems and the folds of fabric, markedly more sharply than injection-molded plastic. At the same time it is more brittle and has to be worked carefully. Before building, wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the remains of mold release agent disappear. Cut the casting block off with a modeling saw and sand the face down flat, so that the figure bears steadily on a base or on the hatch of a vehicle. Go over the parting lines with fine sandpaper and fill any gap after gluing. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
Apply a thin coat of base, so that the engraving is not flooded, and proceed from the clothing to the equipment and finally to the skin. A uniform of officer's cut usually has plenty of sharp edges and hems — it is exactly those that pay to bring out in 1:35 by lightening them by one or two tones, while you darken the folds with a glaze. Model the face with oil paints or heavily thinned acrylics. At the end bring the surface together with a matte clear coat; only the leather and the glossy accessories may stay in a semi-gloss. The figure is conceived as a standing one, so it suits an open turret hatch, the side of a vehicle or a group scene.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
