1:35 US Soldier in M43 uniform No. 1 is a resin figure of an American soldier in the M43 field uniform in 1:35 from the PANZER ART brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
A separate figure cast in modeling resin in 1:35. It is not a vehicle kit but a figure for filling out a finished model or a diorama. The M43 marking in the name refers to the type of field uniform, that is above all to the cut of the jacket and the trousers, which sets the character of the folds and the look of the pockets. The sequence number No. 1 tells this pose apart from the other numbers of the same subject in the line.
Resin captures the soft folds of a field jacket and the small items of equipment more faithfully than injection-molded plastic, but it is more brittle. Before building, wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the remains of mold release agent are removed; without that the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a modeling saw a little way from the part and sand the remainder down flat; wipe the mold seam lines down with fine sandpaper. Sand wet and with your airways protected. It is assembled with super glue (cyanoacrylate); fill any gaps in a joint.
Apply the base in a thin coat, so that the engraving of the fabric does not disappear. A field uniform is painted as cotton cloth: a base shade, lightened raised folds, darkened recesses and fine, irregular soiling on the lower part of the trousers. Tell the leather and the canvas parts of the equipment apart not only by color but also by the degree of gloss — the leather may stay in a semi-gloss, while you finish the textile with a matte clear coat. Finish the face and the hands with oil paints or heavily thinned acrylics. The figure suits a scene on foot as well as the side of a model of equipment in 1:35.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
