A resin figure in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. It is an add-on for a finished vehicle model or a figure for a diorama, not a kit. The casting is supplied unpainted and before use it calls for cleaning, separating from the casting block and painting.
Execution and pose. The Waffen-SS marking in the name is a statement about the execution of the clothing and the equipment; for a modeler what follows from it is above all what awaits him at the painting stage — typically camouflaged clothing, that is work with a pattern in a small scale. The pose follows on from the subject of preparing ammunition, and the number No. 2 means a different bearing of the body than the No. 1 variant has. Both poses are carried out so that they make sense side by side: in one scene a pair that reacts to each other is thus created, instead of two figures set down at random.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent is removed from the surface. Separate the casting block with a saw or a knife and sand the remainder down wet with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before the primer, go over the figure under a sharp light and check the mold seam lines — they most often run along the outer side of the arms and along the sides of the torso.
Painting. After the primer, lay the base tone of the cloth down. Paint the camouflage pattern from dark patches to light ones, softly bounded and in scale — a coarse pattern optically enlarges and flattens a figure in 1:35. Only over the finished pattern do you work with light and shadow: a thin dark glaze into the folds, careful lightening of the edges. If you are building a pair with the No. 1 variant, mix the shades of the skin and of the base from a single batch, so that the figures agree in color side by side. A final matte clear coat evens the surface out.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
