A separate resin figure in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle kit but a figure for filling out a finished model or a diorama. The casting is supplied unpainted and before it goes into a scene it calls for cleaning, separating from the casting block and painting.
Execution and pose. The Waffen-SS marking in the name is a statement about the execution of the clothing and the equipment — it tells a modeler mainly what awaits him at the painting stage, that is most often camouflaged clothing. The pose follows from the name: the figure is carried while loading ammunition, with the arms raised or led upward, as though it were passing a round to someone on the vehicle. This bearing of the body is rewarding for a diorama, because in itself it suggests action and creates a vertical line that ties the scene optically to the model. The No. 1 marking tells the pose apart from the other variants of the same subject.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap — a residue of mold release agent is the most common cause of paint peeling off. Separate the casting block with a fine saw or a knife and sand the face down wet with your airways protected. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). With a figure with raised arms, try out in advance how high it has to stand in relation to the model for the pose to make sense — handle any packing up of the base before you start painting.
Painting. After the primer, lay the base tone of the cloth down, then the camouflage pattern from dark patches to light ones, with soft edges and in scale. Only over the finished pattern do you work with shadow and light — with a thin dark glaze into the folds and with lightening of the edges. With raised arms, do not forget the folds in the armpits and on the sleeves, where the shadow naturally gathers. Build the skin separately, from a base tone through glazing. At the end knock the gloss down with a matte clear coat.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
