Figure of a StuG assault gun gunner at rest in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand PANZER ART, a resin casting for you to assemble and paint yourself.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure in 1:35 scale, the manufacturer's part number FI35-123. It represents the gunner of a German StuG assault gun in a relaxed pose. The manufacturer also makes other crew members for it, so a whole group can be put together around one vehicle.
StuG means Sturmgeschütz, that is the German assault gun with no rotating turret; the gun was built into a fixed low superstructure with a traverse of only about twenty degrees. Aiming therefore usually meant turning the whole vehicle, and the gunner was the member of the crew who had to guide the commander onto the target. The crew was four men, commander, gunner, loader and driver, and three of them worked in the fighting compartment of the superstructure. Crew figures outside the vehicle are therefore popular with the StuG: the low turretless silhouette is even more obvious next to them.
Wash the casting with soapy water and let it dry, and only then will primer take on it. Cut the casting block off and sand the area down; sanding resin is better done wet and with a respirator. Glue the joints with super glue, ideally the gel type, which gives you time to settle the pose. Bring the face and the hands into the light by layering flesh tones with darker glazes in the folds, and finish the uniform with drybrushing on the edges.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
