1:35 US tanker refueling no. 2 is a resin figure of an American tanker in 1:35 from the PANZER ART brand. The pose matches work at a vehicle during refueling.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a separate figure of an American tanker in 1:35, cast in modeling resin. It is not a vehicle kit nor an add-on for one, but a figure meant to bring a finished model or a diorama to life. The marking no. 2 in the name tells a particular pose apart within the series; further numbers and a multi-figure set exist as well, so a whole scene can be put together.
What the figure offers
A resin casting holds sharper edges and a finer surface texture than injection-molded plastic, which shows mainly on the cut of the coverall, on the folds of the cloth, on the footwear and on the drawing of the face. The pose is static and readable, designed for use beside a vehicle — typically at the rear or the side of the hull, where the figure looks natural in relation to the hatches and the step surfaces.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap first, so that the remains of mold release agent are removed — otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife at the mold seam line, level the remains with a file and sandpaper; protect your airways while sanding resin and work wet. Glue the joints with super glue, or fill them with modeling filler. Form the ground with a thin primer and only then build the color up. Build the uniform from a darker ground toward lighter coats on the crests of the folds, and handle the face with several glazes of flesh shades. In closing, bring the details out with a thin dark glaze into the recesses and knock the surface down with a matte clear coat.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
