A mantlet with the L-11 gun barrel for the KV-1 is an accessory set in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART that joins a turned metal barrel for the 76.2 mm L-11 gun with a faithfully cast resin mantlet.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory set, not a stand-alone model. It combines an exactly turned metal barrel for the 76.2 mm L-11 gun with a faithfully cast resin mantlet for the early versions of the Soviet heavy tank KV-1 in 1:35 scale. The manufacturer is PANZER ART.
The earliest KV-1s were armed with the 76.2 mm L-11 gun with a characteristic external mantlet, before the F-32 and ZiS-5 weapons replaced it. The configuration with the L-11 is therefore a recognition feature of the first production KV-1s. The set reproduces this early form faithfully.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and dry them. Give both the metal barrel and the resin a coat of primer and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is an accessory for an existing kit, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
