This is a resin detail set meant for finishing an already built model of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) tank destroyer, nicknamed the Hetzer, in 1:35 scale. The set is not a model of the vehicle nor a replacement for one: it holds castings of stowage and equipment that are added to the hull, the fenders and the rear of a finished plastic model. It is cast by the Polish brand PANZER ART, which specializes in resin accessories for armored vehicles.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) was a light tank destroyer on a chassis derived from a Czechoslovak vehicle, with a low armored superstructure and a gun in the front plate. Room on the hull was limited on these vehicles, so crews stowed personal and technical material on the outer surfaces, in brackets and on the fenders. It is exactly this look that gives a model scale and life: a bare, cleanly painted machine looks empty, while a vehicle with stowage in place looks like real equipment in service.
Wash the resin parts in warm water with dish soap first, so that the remains of the mold release agent are removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter and never break them off, and sand the surface down; when sanding resin, work wet and protect your airways. It is glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as ordinary plastic cement will not bond resin. Lay the parts out dry first and only then glue them. Start the painting with a primer, set the individual objects apart in shade by material (canvas, leather, painted metal, wood) and unify the whole at the end with a light wash and a dry brush. Stowage takes a stronger finish than the vehicle itself.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete kit. The set is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
