1:35 Kfz. 70 Krupp Protze road wheels (Commercial) is a resin set of wheels with a commercial tire tread for a model of the German Krupp Protze truck. It is an accessory to a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The resin set of wheels from PANZER ART is meant for building the German Krupp Protze truck in the Kfz. 70 version in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle, but an accessory replacing the wheels from a plastic kit. A casting can manage a finer drawing of the tread and a cleaner transition between tread and sidewall, which on wheels is the most conspicuous detail of the whole vehicle.
The Krupp Protze was a German light truck with three axles and a characteristic sloping nose. It served in a whole range of roles, and the Kfz. 70 version was meant for carrying troops. The vehicles appeared on several types of tire, because they were topped up from ordinary civilian production. The Commercial designation in the name refers precisely to the commercial, that is civilian, tread pattern, which differs from the off-road pattern in the drawing of the tread.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap first, so that they are rid of the release agent. Separate the casting blocks with a fine saw, level the surface by sanding wet and with your airways protected. Resin is glued with super glue, not with cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. Tires look more faithful in a dark gray shade than in pure black; paint the discs separately and finish the transition between disc and rubber with a fine brush. At the end add dust and mud with pigments and strengthen them toward the lower part of the wheel.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as resin castings. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
