A set of cast road wheels for the American Willys MB light off-road car in 1:35 scale, in the version with a commercial tire tread. Vehicles in service were shod with whatever was available, and commercial tires were no rarity, especially on cars handed over to allies or used in the rear areas.
The Willys MB was a small light off-road car that became one of the symbols of the war. It was built in enormous numbers, served in every Allied army and was used for everything imaginable, from liaison through reconnaissance and casualty evacuation to carrying recoilless weapons. That is exactly why non-standard parts turned up in its equipment as well.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw so that the cut falls in the contact area. Bond with super glue. On such a small vehicle the stance on its wheels is crucial: check that all the wheels stand in the same plane. Paint the tires a dark gray, apply a dark wash into the tread and dirty the sidewalls according to the terrain.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
