The Toyota Alphard is a large Japanese family and executive van with a roomy interior, sliding side doors and a tall body. On its home market it has long been among the most popular vehicles for carrying families and clients, and it has also become one of the most frequently modified Japanese cars of all. Silk Blaze is a Japanese brand specializing in aerodynamic body accessories for production cars - front and rear bumper parts, side skirts and spoilers, which give vans their characteristic low stance and more aggressive look in what is known as the dress-up style.
The large flat area of the sides and roof is the hardest discipline on a van - spray over a filler primer, apply the paint in thin coats and keep checking the surface against the light. Try the aerodynamic parts dry first, fill the mating gaps and sand them again. Mask the glazing and the chrome strips well in advance. The interior of a van is clearly visible through the glazing, so it pays to spend time on it before you close the body up. Apply the decals onto a gloss base with a decal softener.
