Executive Edition Opel Manta A 1970 is a clip-together brick kit from the Polish manufacturer COBI. The parts join into each other according to the instructions, and once it is completed you have a finished model of the coupe that can be displayed straight away.

The set belongs to the Executive Edition range, in which the Polish manufacturer COBI devotes itself to civilian automobiles. It is not a classic plastic model but a clip-together brick kit: the individual parts fit into each other and hold firmly, so the model comes about directly during the build according to the enclosed instructions. The colors are given by the finish of the parts themselves and by the printing that the manufacturer applies directly on them, so once it is built nothing more is finished off.
The first-generation Opel Manta, internally designated the Manta A, was introduced in 1970 as a sporting two-door coupe. Technically it came from the Ascona sedan of the same generation, it had a classic layout with the engine at the front and rear-wheel drive and inline four-cylinder engines with the camshaft in the block. The low, drawn-out silhouette with a short rear end and prominent tail lights made it one of the best remembered European sporting coupes of its time. The Manta A was built until 1975, when the second generation replaced it, and to this day it is among the sought-after youngtimers.
Work step by step according to the instructions and do not get ahead of yourself - on the body the parts are layered and a later move into an already closed section means taking several layers apart. Always push the parts fully home, as otherwise the outline edges will not meet in the next step. The finished model is stable and stands up to ordinary handling, but set it on a flat surface or in a display case all the same; dust is best wiped off it with a soft brush. Do not scrub the printed features and do not clean them with solvents.
The kit is supplied unassembled. Once completed according to the instructions the model is finished and calls for no further work.
