A clip-together kit of plastic bricks and shaped parts that click into each other with no tools and without any chemicals. The joining system is compatible with common brick kits. The markings, the national insignia and the color areas are printed directly on the parts, so the finished aircraft calls for no further work - once the last part is clicked in it is ready to be displayed. The kit comes from the Armed Forces military range of the Polish brand COBI.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine carrier combat aircraft built so as to handle both the fighter and the attack role - hence the double designation F/A. The design comes from the requirements of the US Navy and the Marine Corps: sturdy landing gear for setting down on the deck of an aircraft carrier, a tailhook, folding wings for parking in the hangar and two engines for safety over the sea. The C version is the single-seat variant of a later production series with modernized avionics and extended armament against the original machines of the A series. Characteristic features of the aircraft are the leading-edge extensions of the wing, the pair of canted vertical tail surfaces and the side air intakes.
Work in sections and sort the parts out beforehand; with aircraft of a densely divided fuselage that speeds the build up noticeably. The joints hold firmly, so the model stands up to handling and carrying about. Build on a flat surface, so that the landing gear seats evenly. The finished aircraft is displayed as it is; dusting it with a soft brush now and then is enough.
