A kit of the Mirage IIIRS aircraft in the Swiss version. The plastic parts join together without gluing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation Mirage IIIRS was carried by the reconnaissance version of the French Mirage III aircraft delivered to the Swiss Air Force. It differed from the fighter versions above all in the nose, in which photographic equipment went in place of the radar. Some of the machines came about in licensed production directly in Switzerland, and the aircraft then served there for many years.
The basis remains the triangular delta wing with no horizontal tail surfaces and the side air intakes with cones. Look for the difference on the nose, which on the reconnaissance version is shaped differently from the fighter. On the finished model the Swiss national insignia stands out, that is a white cross on a red field, which is clearly visible even from a distance.
It is a kit of plastic parts that join together without gluing. You build the model yourself and you need no glue for it. The extent of the set, the number of parts and the procedure are given by the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package.
Work step by step according to the instructions and push the parts home evenly. A step that goes wrong can be taken apart and fitted again, because there is no gluing. Carry the finished model by the fuselage, not by the wingtips or by the vertical tail surface.
The set suits anyone interested in postwar jet aviation and in Swiss machinery who wants to build without glue and paints.
A display case, a stand and other extras are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
