Responsibility details are not available.
This Exotic Decals sheet covers the story of the Mustang P-51B-10 with serial number 42-106438, which according to the name went through trials with the Swiss Air Force. For a modeler it is a rewarding chance to render a celebrated fighter in a finish that does not appear in the boxes of ordinary kits.
During the Second World War Switzerland interned dozens of Allied and German aircraft that made forced landings on its territory. Some of them were subjected to thorough examination and test flights by the local air force. The B series Mustang with its Packard Merlin engine and framed canopy belonged among the most valuable catches, because it allowed a direct comparison with their own fighter equipment. After the war the interned aircraft were returned, bought up or scrapped according to agreements with their original owners.
Apply the motifs one at a time onto a polished gloss clear coat and line them up with the panel lines before you settle them for good. Squeeze the water out from the center toward the edges and use a setting solution on the recessed detail. Once dry, go over everything with a varnish matching the finish you have chosen, so that the edges of the film disappear.
