A set of exhaust nozzles for the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Wolfpack is a resin detailing accessory for the tail of a model from the Hasegawa kit. It is not a kit of the aircraft.

This detailing set from the manufacturer Wolfpack replaces the plastic exhaust nozzles of both engines on a model of the F/A-18E or F/A-18F Super Hornet in 1:48 scale. The resin castings have a thin trailing edge and clean inner surfaces, whereas on split plastic parts the same result is reached only by laborious filling of the seam inside the duct.
Note: this is not a model of an aircraft, but an accessory fitted into the Hasegawa kit, which you buy separately.
The Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a carrier-based multirole aircraft that follows on from the older Hornet, but it is a different and larger machine. It has a more sizeable airframe, angular air intakes and more powerful General Electric F414 engines. The E version is single-seat, the F version two-seat. The difference against the original Hornet is visible on the tail as well, so a set of nozzles for the Super Hornet is not interchangeable with a set for the older versions.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, and do not break them. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), as a cement for plastic models has no effect on resin. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. Apply a primer before painting. The nozzles are usually built on metallic shades, the transitions are tuned with thin coats and a final wash will bring out the division of the petals. Anyone building the model in a position on the ground also watches how far the nozzle petals are open.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The set is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
