Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut masks of kabuki tape for a model of the Mil Mi-4 helicopter in 1:48 scale. The masks are stuck onto the clear parts and taken off after spraying; the frames then have a sharp and straight edge, which is hard to achieve with tape cut by hand. The BASIC level is the basic one of the New Ware BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT range. The package contains no model, paints or glue.
The real subject
The Mil Mi-4, with the NATO code designation Hound, was a Soviet multipurpose helicopter of the 1950s. It was powered by a radial piston engine mounted in the nose, above which the pilots' cabin was placed in a raised position. The cargo compartment in the rear part of the fuselage opened with doors, which made it possible to load even bulky cargo. The machine was used in the transport, airborne and civil roles and was built in large series. The pilots' cabin has heavily divided glazing, so it pays to simplify the masking.
How to use the masks
Degrease the clear part and let it dry. Transfer the mask with tweezers, seat it and press the edges down with a rounded tool, so that the paint does not run under them. First spray the shade of the interior of the frames, then the outer color. Take the masks off shortly after they have dried, while the adhesive is still pliable. On the intricate glazing of the Mi-4 proceed one pane at a time and keep checking whether the mask overhangs the frame anywhere.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
