A replacement nozzle in the open position for a model of the F-16 in 1:144 scale, in the version designated PW 100.
Responsibility details are not available.
On a single-engine aircraft the nozzle is the one place where a model looks the viewer straight into its insides, and at the same time the place that kits in small scales treat most sparingly. It tends to be no more than a short piece of tube with a blind bottom and roughly suggested petals. The replacement part replaces this end of the fuselage entirely: it has a thinner wall, regularly divided petals and a depth you can see into.
The nozzle is listed in the open position, that is, with the petals spread. In this form it can be used well on a model caught on the flight line or in a diorama on an airfield apron. The designation PW 100 in the name distinguishes the version of the nozzle among the accessories for the F-16; how many parts the package contains and which kit the part is drawn for is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene and are bonded with super glue. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder off; on a part the size of a fingernail a file works better than paper. Wash and degrease it before painting. Spray the inside of the nozzle before you seat it on the fuselage, because afterwards you will reach inside neither with a brush nor with the nozzle of an airbrush. Metallic shades in this place will take a darker final shading, because a real nozzle tends to be markedly discolored by smoke and heat.
The accessory alone is supplied. The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
