This injection-molded plastic kit in the small 1:100 scale from Zvezda captures the German light reconnaissance armored car Sd.Kfz.222. The model comes from the Art of Tactic game range and besides the parts of the vehicle it also contains a game card and a unit flag. The parts join by the snap-fit system, so the vehicle can be built even without glue.
The Sd.Kfz.222 was a light four-wheeled armored car used for reconnaissance. It was powered by a gasoline engine allowing decent speed on the road and was armed with a 20 mm KwK 30 automatic cannon and a 7.92 mm machine gun in an open turret. It served with the reconnaissance battalions of tank divisions and was deployed on most fronts of the Second World War.
The vehicle can be snapped together without glue, but the joints hold better with a drop of cement for plastic. Because of the small scale we recommend a fine airbrush, thin washes in the recesses and a restrained dry brush on the edges. The package does not contain decals; separate sheets can be used for markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
