An injection-molded plastic kit of the Imperial shuttle Tydirium in 1:106 scale from the production of the maker Revell, released as a gift set for the anniversary of the film of the Star Wars saga. The model captures the characteristic triangular shuttle with folding wings, clear parts and pilot figures; the landing gear can be built extended or retracted. As a gift set the package contains, besides the kit itself, basic paints, glue, a brush and a poster, so it will serve as a complete start to the build. The assembled model measures around 19 cm. Tydirium is an Imperial Lambda-class shuttle from the Star Wars film saga. In the story of Return of the Jedi a rebel strike team steals it and under its code clearance passes through the Imperial blockade to land on the forest moon of Endor and knock out the shield generator protecting the second Death Star. The characteristic feature of the Lambda shuttle is its three folding wings, which fold upwards on landing. The model is based on the film original.
Paint the triangular surfaces with an airbrush and pick out the structure of the surface with fine panel work; light gray shades are typical of Imperial equipment. Mask the clear parts before spraying. Leave the folding wings movable if you want to change their position. The paints and the brush enclosed are enough for a basic finish, and for fine effects an airbrush is useful too.
The model is supplied unassembled. With this gift set basic paints, glue and a brush are part of the package; for a finer finish we recommend further paints and tools.
