A resin accessory set in 1:144 scale from LACI. It replaces the engines of a model with castings of the Rolls-Royce RB211-524H powerplant, and that in the position with the thrust reversers deployed, that is as the engines look shortly after touchdown. It is not a kit of an airplane - these are parts you buy for a model you already have under way. The set is cast for the Revell kit; an identical set for the Zvezda kit is a separate item, so check whose model you are building before you buy.
The RB211-524H is one of the last and most powerful subversions of the RB211 family. It powered wide-body airliners and in service you will meet it on the Boeing 767 and on the Boeing 747-400. The thrust reverser on this design swings the segments of the nacelle open and reveals the cascades through which the airflow is led forward - in the deployed state the engine therefore looks longer and reveals a broken-up interior that cannot be made from plastic in 1:144 scale.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
