A resin accessory set from LACI in 1:144 scale for a model of the Airbus A320neo powered by Pratt & Whitney engines of the PW1100G series, specifically the PW1127G variant. The parts replace sections from the plastic kit and make it possible to build the aircraft with the high-lift devices opened out, that is at the moment of approach to landing. The package is not a model of an airplane - it assumes that you already have the base kit.
The A320neo family differs from the older generation above all in its powerplant and is offered with two engine options. The PW1100G is a so-called geared turbofan: between the low-pressure turbine and the fan there is a planetary gearbox, so the fan turns more slowly and the engine works with a higher bypass ratio. The nacelle therefore has a different shape and diameter from the competing solution and on a model the difference is clearly visible in 1:144 scale. The designation in the name is therefore not cosmetic - it says which version of the aircraft the set belongs to.
Wash the resin parts in warm water with detergent, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface; otherwise neither primer nor paint will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the surface by damp sanding with breathing protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue - cement for plastic will not help here. Before you start gluing, try the parts dry and even out any differences by sanding the seat in the kit rather than the casting.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
