It is not a copy of a particular racing special but a show design whose name refers to the tarantula and with it to the whole artistic styling of the car. The model is in 1:32 scale, so what comes out of it is a compact little piece for a display case. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; check the exact number of parts and the contents of the package on the packaging.
A dragster is a racing car built exclusively for acceleration on a short straight. Typical of it are a long slender frame, the driver seated right at the back, an exposed supercharged engine, narrow front and conversely very wide rear wheels, and a drag chute. Show rods and fantasy dragsters take this silhouette over and carry it through into the artistic plane: the proportions are exaggerated and a theme that gave the car its name is added to the machinery. It is precisely this combination of a racing silhouette and fantasy that made them classic modeling subjects.
The long frame of a dragster is sensitive about standing straight. Let the glued parts dry on a flat surface and check whether all four wheels touch the support. The parts in this scale are tiny; cut them off with nippers and rather sand the sprue nubs down. Paint the engine and the frame separately before you close the whole thing up, because they are clearly visible on the finished model. Paint the body in thin coats and polish the surface over at the end; do not paint the chrome-plated parts, just clean up the sprue gate marks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
