A decal sheet in 1:72 scale built around Mirage IIIC fighters operated by the French Air Force. It is not a kit but an accessory with which you give a model the markings and national insignia of particular machines. This is the first part of a multi-part series; the individual parts are separate sheets with different content, so they do not replace one another. The particular schemes and their number are given in the instructions included with the sheet.
The Mirage IIIC is a single-engine interceptor with a tailless delta wing from the French manufacturer Dassault. It was powered by an Atar turbojet and was the first version of the Mirage III family in series production, intended above all for rapid climb and the interception of air targets. Its characteristic features are the slender delta wing with no horizontal tail surfaces and a short circular air intake with a movable center body. The type formed the backbone of French interceptor defense in the 1960s and became the basis for a whole further line of variants.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat, otherwise silvering will appear beneath them. Cut the marking out of the sheet, dip it briefly in lukewarm water and let it soften on the paper. Move it onto the dampened place, set it into position and blot the excess water away. On engraved lines and rivets a decal softener helps, as it draws the decal down to the surface. Once dry, coat the whole model according to the degree of sheen you want.
This is an accessory for building a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
